Professional Tote

This is a great bag to makefor the woman on the go. It can doubleas a diaper bag, or just a great bag to keep all your stuff in. Stop in to see the samples and choose your fabric. This is a great bag to do in a class, as wekeep you on task and get the many steps in order for you without gettingconfused. 1^st meeting we will cut and prepare our fabric tosew. Thisclass will cover the quilt making from the very beginning. You will learn tocut with a rotary cutter, sew with exact ¼”seams, how to make and arrange your blocks to complete the quilt. We will alsocover putting on borders. This is a greatclass to take if have not made a quilt or just made small project. Our Patternis called Hop, Skip and Jump. It is a newTriple Expresso pattern that has 3 quilts in one pattern. You decide when yourblocks are done which version to make.Stop in to see the sample and pick up your supply list

Mystery Quilt Weekend

Join us for a weekend of sewing a mystery quilt. Friday we will cut and begin our first few steps. Then return on Saturday to continue sewing and watch the mystery unfold before your eyes. You can return on Sunday if you wish to finish up. Stop by to pick up your supply list. Lunch is on your own-Pizzeria is just across the street. Snacks provided during the day, bring your own beverage. Stop in for a supply list.

T-Shirt Quilt
Put together a t-shirt quilt with all those t-shirts your kids have collected. The first meeting we will be cutting and planning your quilt, then return on Sat and put it together. Bring a sack lunch & beverage or do lunch at Pizzaria 201.

Well it is Finally Here! Scrap Therapy!

We start with a CUTTING WORKSHOP to get you organized. Scraps are cut into three sensible sizes, and organized into convenient see-thru bins for easy access (your first storage bin is free!). The cutting seminar is dedicated to honing your rotary cutting techniques, teaching efficient cutting techniques and introducing you to new rulers and tools to make cutting more accurate. This is the first step in getting your fabric stash under control!

Next there will be QUILT PROJECT CLASS to use your newly-cut and organized fabric pieces in a variety of fresh patterns and projects. Watch your scrap stack shrink while converting scrap fabrics into usable quilts, table runners, bags and more. Watch for Project classes starting in January. Cutting Workshop is a pre-requisite.

Supplies: Bring in all of your scraps- Pile them in a basket, a bag, your trunk, it doesn't matter, just get them here. Your therapist will help you organize them into useful pieces for later use in fun projects. You will also need a rotary cutter, mat and ruler at least 5" wide.

Craft/Sewing Day Retreat
Join us for an all day and evening retreat. Leave your cleaning and cooking at home and just bring your project to work on. Bring your own beverage, and sack lunch, or go out for pizza or subway. Bring your own project or ask for one of our retreat projects.

Little Christmas Stockings – embroidery
Learn to embroidery this small Christmas Stocking. Choose one from the 6 patterns from Bareroots. Make one or all 6. Learn the basic embroidery stitches so you can see how easy it is to embroidery. We will meet in 2 classes, the first to get you started embroidering. The second to put together the stocking. Stop in the shop to sign up and see our sample stockings.

Long Arm Certification Class
Learn to use the long arm machine and finish your own quilts on it. Take the one on one class and then you are able to rent out the machine. We will give you a practice quilt to give a try and learn how to use.

Block of the Month – Table Runner of the Month

Join our Table runner of the month club and receive the pattern and material for 1 table runner each month for 12 months. They are all a variety of sizes and patterns, made just for each month. It includes top binding and backing. If you don’t like our fabric choice for a certain month, give as a gift and make one for you with your own fabric.

Turning 20 Quilt

If you are ready to try a larger quilt or if you have made smaller projects, but not a large quilt, this is the class for you. We will be cutting and sewing all day and should complete or almost complete the quilt by the end of the day. Please bring a sack lunch and beverage for lunch, or plan on making a run to subway. You just need 20 Fat Quarters, stop in to see our sample and choose your fabric.

Hot Cakes Potholder

You will love this potholder that looks like a cupcake. It is made with 2 Fat Quarters, it is quick and easy and very functional. Finish it in one night. You will love them so much you will want to make more. Finished size 10” x 8”

Rag Time Quilt

This is a great first time project. You will be learning to cut and quilt the squares as you go. Then we will put together and wash.....no binding needed. Stop into the shop to see the sample and you can use one of our kits, or choose your own fabric.

Quilting -101
This class will cover the quilt making from the very beginning. You will learn to cut with a rotary cutter, sew with exact ¼” seams, how to make and arrange your blocks to complete the quilt. We will also cover putting on borders. This is a great class to take if have not made a quilt or just made small project. Our Pattern is called Hop, Skip and Jump. Mystery Quilt Weekend
Join us for a weeknd of sewing a mystery quilt. Friday we will cut and begin our first few steps. Then return on Saturday to continue sewing and watch the mystery unfold before your eyes! Stop by to pick up your supply list. Bring a sack lunch and beverage, or we will make a subway run for you! Snacks will be provided.

Retreat Day
Get the group together & come for a productive day of getting projects completed. Don't have anything to complete, start something new! Bring a beverage of your choice & let us do the cooking. It is sure to be a great day of friends & fun!

Long Arm Certification Classes Are Available

Ever wanted to long arm your own quilts? We have just the class for you! Learn to use our long arm machine and finish your own quilts on it. Take the one on one class (2 1/2 hour session) and then you are able to rent out the machine. We will provide a practice quilt for your to learn on. The cost is $60. Simply call the shop to set up your appointment!

Quilting 101

This class will cover the quilt making process from the very beginning. You will learn to cut with a rotary cutter, sew with exact 1/4" seams, how to make and arrange your blocks to complete the quilt. We will also cover putting on borders. This is a great class to take if you have not made a quilt or just made a small project. Our pattern is called Hop, Skip and Jump. It is a new Triple Expresso pattern that has 3 quilts in one pattern! You decide which version to make. Stop in to see the sample and pick up your supply list.

Basic Sewing

Lean to use a sewing machine. You will learn to thread your machine, winding a bobbin and sew with your own machine. You will cute and sew a simple project that you can complete in class. Sewing machines are available if needed. However, you may want to learn on the machine you will be sewing at home with.

Donate Fabric

We will again be accepting donation fabrics to give to our area groups (3 of them) to make quilts with. Please drop off you fabric between January 25th and 30th. We will weight it and whatever it weights, you will get that discount in the store for that day (up to 30%). We appreciate your donations. The groups make good use of the material.

Small Wall Hanging

Take this class to see how easy it is to make an appliques wall hanging for your door or window. I have a variety of patterns to choose from the Patch Abilities line. Finished size is 6" x 22". Stop in to see our samples and choose the one you like best. We have kits available for some of the patterns, or use up your own scraps.

Craft/Sewing Day Retreat

Join us for an all day and evening retreat. Leave your cleaning and cooking at home an just bring your project to work on. Bring your own beverage, the meals will be provided along with some snacks to keep your strength up. Bring your own project or ask for one of our retreat projects.
